Leaving Victoria we cross the border into Moruya to refuel and on to Sydney (Bankstown) for our last overnight stop before making our way back to Brisbane.

After a brief visit to Tasmania, we make our way back across the Bass Straight to Victoria and stay in Yarram for the night.

Day 10 is a definite highlight of the journey as we say goodbye to Perth and head to Esperance before winging over the remote wilderness of the Nullarbor desert. A very welcome night in Forrest will end an amazing day.

Many young pilots dream of making the crossing of Bass Straight over to Tasmania. Today Byron at just 14 years old will embark on this awe inspiring journey, proving what can be achieved with resilience and perseverance. No matter what life throws at you, just keep going and don’t give up.

Day 12 offers a nice change with two short legs to Moorabbin via Horsham as we prepare for our crossing of Bass Straight to Tasmania.

Day 11 and we head to South Australia via the lovely seaside town of Ceduna. The big city lights of Adelaide welcome us from the wilderness for some cooler weather.

The furthermost East of Australia is a stop in Carnarvon followed by Gerldton and Perth. We are now on the return part of our journey with still many more places to visit.

Day 8 and we are half way through our epic journey, the beautiful unspoiled coastline of WA stretches ahead of us as we make our way South stopping in Broome and Port Headland on our way to Onslow where we rest for the night.

Another long day with Day 7 skipping across the border into Western Australia via Kununurra and stopping for the night at Derby

Day 6 is our longest yet as we head deep into the Northern Territory stopping in Tindal. After refuelling we make our way to Darwin. It will be a long day.

Day 5 Flying to Mt Isa in the morning FIFO style saying goodbye to Queensland as we cross the border into Northern Territory. A pleasant and well earned rest in the Oasis of Barkley Wayside Inn to refuel the plane and our bellies as we experience true Northern Territory Hospitality. .

Day 4 may seem like we are whimping out with a short leg to the old Queensland outback town of Normanton and its iconic Purple Pub, but we need to pace ourselves for some gruelling days ahead as we cross the vast outback on our journey into the Northern Territory.

Cairns is an exciting place to visit from the air and flying the Cessna 172 over the reef will give us some great views of the whales as they migrate up the East Coast of Australia.
